Hello and Welcome to the AFD Explorer Webpage!
  
We at Post 400 welcome you to our website and appreciate this opportunity to explain briefly what our Explorer Post is about and what activities we are involved in. The fundamental purpose of Explorer Post 400 is to educate young men and women in the duties and responsibilities of the fire service. Some of the skills taught are: 
Explorer participants must be 14 years of age and must have completed the 8th grade. the Explorer's must also maintain a "C" average academically during the school year. Meetings are normally held twice a month at the AFD Headquarters Station on McDuffie St. or at the regional training facility on Hillhouse Rd. in Anderson county.
